Below are some steps that all of you can follow:
1) Firstly,you need to create a new page for adobe flash(it doesnt matter what version)
2) As for my case, since I am using the version of adobe flash cs5, I will create a new action script3.0 for my
assignment.
3) Next, you need to modify the size for your stage in flash.As for my case, since my poster design is in
portrait style.
4) For my case, I change my resolution to 240x320...
Therefore, you should able to see your stage changed as followed:
5) Next, I used the text tool in the software to draw a text box and typed the words of-WE in it..
6) After the word is typed, I arranged the alignment of the text to the center as below shown.

7) Next, I applied the filters which could be found at the properties at the side for the text I just typed in-WE.
a) I applied drop shadow:
This the outcome after I had applied drop shadow.
b) I applied glow effect:
Then, you will see the above option popped out, and typed in the name for your symbol.
This is the final outcome once I have done the conversion of a text to a symbol/graphic.
I applied the color effects of alpha.
You noticed that there is a bar immediately after the option of color effects?That is the one which I used to
to made the word invinsible.
Dragged the bar to the left side until you noticed is 2% and you can see the text is as if disappeared.
After a new layer has been added, you can see something as shown below.
ii) Rename the symbol that you want to create.
iii) I renamed it as background 1.
iv) Right-click at the rectangle again and choose Create motion tween.
Then you can see this windows whereby you will choose what to import to library.
This is the outcome after I had applied the glow effect.
8) During the times of applying the glow effect, I changed the glow to yellow.
9) Eventually I changed the strength of blur to 2 points instead of 5points.
10) After these filters applied, I decided to apply bevel as well to make the wordings more solid like.
The final outcome after applied the bevel.
11) After text of WE has been applied for the filters, it is then converted to a symbol and below are the steps
on how to convert the text to a symbol:
Right clicked at the text,you will see something as above shown.
This is the final outcome once I have done the conversion of a text to a symbol/graphic.
12) A conversion of a text to a symbol or graphic is quite essential. Why? This is to ensure my text can be
applied for the motion tween.
Once again,right-clicked at the text,you can notice the first option-Create motion tween.
13) How to ensure you have create the motion tween? The answer is simple. You can notice the timeline
there, that the color of the bar of your respective layer will turn to light blue instead of grey color as
shown below:
14) Next, I went to the property at the right side of the stage to change the color effects.
You noticed that there is a bar immediately after the option of color effects?That is the one which I used to
to made the word invinsible.
Dragged the bar to the left side until you noticed is 2% and you can see the text is as if disappeared.
15) Then, I move the red head indicator to the timeline of 12 as shown below:
16) This is the first step to create the tween of a motion for my text. Before that, I dragged the bar to the right side back to 100% so that my wordings will appear.
17) Next, I enlarged the text by dragged down the corner small square of the border around the text.
18) Then, I dragged the red head indicator to the frame of 24 and shrink the text towards the center.
19) Once again, I applied the color effects to the wordings to make it disappear.
Now, you can try to click CONTROL+ENTER to test movie.(It is meant to see the effects you have applied whether satisfied or applicable)
20) The last part to deal with this layer is to renamed it.
21) After that, it is time to create a new layer for other elements involved in my typography poster.
After a new layer has been added, you can see something as shown below.
22) Since it is a new layer, you need to select the frame on where you want to begin in this layer. For my case, I have chosen to start from the frame of 24. After selected the frame you desired,click on the frame 10 and press F6 as shown below:
23) I used the shape tool to draw a rectangle that surrounded the stage.
24) Once again, I need to change the rectangle to a symbol in order to have it have a motion tween.
i) Right-click at the rectangle and select the option of convert to symbol.
ii) Rename the symbol that you want to create.
iii) I renamed it as background 1.
iv) Right-click at the rectangle again and choose Create motion tween.
25) The next step is to elongate the frame of the layer since I want to use the rectangle to give an effect of flashing.
26) In order, to make the flashing effect, I need to give the rectangle an effect of alpha for the color effect. This time, instead of alpha of 2% I changed it to 15%. This is because I wanted it to become transparent but not totally disappeared.
27) Once again do not forget to rename it as background.
28) Once again another layer is added in to add in another element which is another text.
29) A text tool is needed again to type the text in it and a modification is needed to let the wordings to be visible.After that just repeat the steps as above to create a motion tween for the text.
30) Since I wanted to make the word to be appeared as from invert at the bottom to the top as upright there the step below is essential:
i) Rotate the word to an angle of 180 degree.
ii) Pull the rotated word to the bottom of the stage:
iii) At the frame of 72, dragged up the text to almost 1 quarter of the stage.
iv) Since i accidentally created an extra frame, hence I need to
remove it by right click at the extra frame and select
remove frame.
v) Once again, I extrapolate the frames so that the effect can taken place at a
slower rate of time.
vi) Then, I moved the text upwards until almost reach the half of the stage.
vii) Last but not least,at the frame 95 I revert back the position of the text as upright.
31) Next, I added the keyframe at the frame 108, and at this frame, I dragged the the wording upwards and made the apha of the color effects to become 0%
32) A new layer is added in and this is meant for the word of 'Different' in my typography poster.
33) At this layer, I need to insert key frame by pressing F6 before I start to type in the wording of 'Different'.
34) Once again,after I have typed the word,I need to do some modification for the word to be appeared as shown below.
35) I wanted to create a motion of moving slating upwards. Hence, I made the word shrink to a smaller size and dragged it to the bottom left side.
36) Then, at another key frame, I moved the wording slanting up towards the right side as shown below:
37) Next, I moved the words towards center and enlarge it as shown below:
38) Add in a new layer for another word-Festivals.
39) Once again, a text tool i used to type the text of Festivals in the stage.
40) After that, I insert key frame at frame 146 as shown below:
41) From the right side, pulled the word of festivals to the bottom left corner and enlarged its size as shown below:
42) After that, moved the wordings directly upwards until almost reached the three quarter of a stage size and when the wording moved up,the size is once again reduce to smaller size as shown below:
43) Later, a new layer is once again added for the last text of 'WE ARE ONE!' After the key frame is added, the text image is bring into the stage as shown:
44) Then, as usual, this text is firstly converted to symbol and it is followed by creating the motion tween,which ended at the key frame 194.
45) After that, the wordings even pulled down to more towards the bottom of the stage.
46) Then a new layer is added to insert the image of the flag as shown below:
47) Since the file size is greater than the stage size therefore, I need to edit the size at the properties at the side.
48) Then, after the motion tween is created, I applied the alpha of the color effects to 0%.
49) Next, applied the returned the alpha towards 87% to let the flag looked appear.
50) Once again, the flagged is applied for alpha to be changed to 0% after it is shrink to a smaller size.
51) The following step is to create a new layer for the background color of the poster.
52) The background is earlier done at photoshop, so now I just needed to drag in the file into flash at the library.
53) The background needed to be resized to match the size of the stage as shown below:
54) It is then moved slightly to the right, so that it is just fit inside the stage.
55) I want to create the motion but I has forgotten that I have not change it to a symbol. Therefore the window below is popped out:
56) After I clicked ok, I can notice my background quickly converted to a movie clip and it is done with the creation of motion tween as well.
57) Since I wanted to make this background to be popped out from inner center to outer so I would need to shrink the size of it by pressing SHIFT and click at the corner of the border of the background. I even applied the color effects of alpha as shown below:
58) I changed the alpha to 27% to make the background layer almost transparent at key frame 242.
59) Next I moved the red head indicator about the timeline to key frame 266 after I have created the motion tween which I have shown on previous sentences on this post..
60) Then, I made the alpha changed back to 100% to make it appear and enlarge it back to normal which is merely fit the size of the stage.
61) A new layer is added in to bring in the one of the text as image symbols..
62) Now I would need to import the elements into the library and the followings are the steps for it.
Firstly, you will have to go to file,then clicked on import and choose import to library.
The process of importing is running as shown:
63) Next I dragged the lantern which is inside the library now to the stage..
64) Then I made the size of this element as shown below:
65) As you can see the key frames involved this image is too much so I would like to remove some of it by right click at the bitmap and select remove key frames.
66) After the extra key frames are removed, a new key frame is added at the back.
67) Then, once again is to create motion tween after covert it to symbol and you will see something as below once you are done with it.
68) At the key frame I have added in, I will use that to enlarge my lantern to make it closer to the viewer.
69) After it is enlarged, it is pulled as shown below and applied the alpha of the color effects for it so that it will slowly disappeared as in the swf format.
70) Before you proceed to others, you can try to press CONTROL and ENTER to test movie. A new layer is added in for the ketupat:
71) The remaining elements are the ketupat and the candle and the motion tween is just same as above by following above instructions.
72) Last but not least I want to create a new flashing effect background, so I add in a new frame for the timeline of 339.
73) At the same background layer that I have created since very beginning, I just copy and paste the key frames which are already having motion tween to the corresponding key frames of 339 to 374.
74) Then A last layer is added to insert the final poster artwork into the stage and it is modified for its size so that it would not overlap the stage.
